Our newest team member Tara Diversi, specialist sports dietitian, has helped numerous athletes fuel their performance including World Champions, Olympians, Extreme Adventurers, Professional Athletes and teams. Her presentation style is positive and most importantly practical so you can make the most of your new knowledge for Sunday's big event.

Tara ran a must watch presentation on "A high performance final 4 day diet plan to bring out your best" for all athletes that want to make sure they are doing EVERYTHING to be prepared for their event.

Tara has prepared a 4 day diet plan as well as a race recovery plan that you can print out for future reference.

Lee Troop (3 x Olympian for the Marathon) will also take a brief moment to discuss the Lee_Troop_30km_GC_smallconditions for the Sunday's race and give any last miniute tips for your training leading into the race.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Really enjoyed the webinar and thought it was a great way to get across some tips. Tara is a great communicator. Have never properly understood "carbo loading" beyond eating pasta the night before a run, so the four day meal plan is fantastic.
And will stock up on jellybeans ! :)

Thank you for organising a very informative webinar. I got a lot out of it and am now amazed I did not hit the wall with my very ad-hoc preparation for previous two marathons! I now feel really well prepared for Sunday. Please pass on my thanks to Tara and also Lee.

Thanks for a great informative session. I'm now trying to carb load which is very filling! I returned from the UK on Saturday morning so
getting over jetlag with two small kids this week has been challenging! I'm hoping to get a good nights sleep before the race on
Sunday. I can't wait and I'm just hoping my slightly dodgy knee doesn't get in the way of running a great first marathon. Thanks so much for the training program. I've really enjoyed it. I'll let you know how I go on Sunday.

Enjoyed the Webinar thank you. It is good to hear from a dietician that actually runs the same race and can speak from experience.

When will the recorded version be available? It was quite a good motivator and would be nice to run through again prior to Sunday while in the loading phase.

I just wanted to provide you with some feedback on the webinar. As this is my first marathon the session was invaluable, the nutritional advice and the tips from Lee really helped me understand how to prepare. I developed tonsillitis over the last week and it was good to hear that this is actually normal for runners during the tapering stage of training - thankfully I've recovered now. So many thanks to you all for a very informative and well run session. Keep up the good work!

I thought the webinar was great, really useful information, I had no idea I should be eating SO MANY carbs in the lead up to the marathon!
The only thing I would have liked would be to have had that information t a bit earlier in the training so I could trial a few of the things out on my training runs. It's a lot different to my normal nutrition so I'm only going to implement some of it for Sunday because I'm worried about how my body will react.
Guess I'll just have to do another marathon to try some of them out!

"A BIG thank you to yourself (Scott), Tara and Lee for the Webinar last night. You all created a relaxed atmosphere on the call, which would of helped all the nervous first timers preparing for this Sunday's race!

Unlike the majority of attendees I am not running in the Sydney Running festival. I'm in week 9 of my 16 week training plan for the New York City Marathon in November this year. For myself personally I certainly now have a greater understanding (Thanks to Tara) of what I will need to do in the 4 days prior to the Marathon in November thanks to last night's call (webinar).

I got onto the Marathon Guru page from my Mother who looked after Lee's Twin boys in St John of God Hospital in Geelong . So I thank him for putting up with my Mother talking about my running and for him passing on the website details.
Lee was an exceptional speaker and for an elite athlete to take the time to motivate and recognise the efforts of us amateurs, was an excellent feeling! It was great to hear him speak as I've seen him racing a few times and always looks so scary, which I now know that he's not! I'll definitely take some of his words with me when to tackle the mental challenges that I'll face when my time comes up in November.

The webinar was a great idea and ran incredibly smoothly. I work for a large IT outsourcing company and even our web meetings don't run that well!
